The German capital region stands for excellent energy technology with a unique density of research institutions. Over 30 scientific institutions are conducting research in all areas of energy technology and clean technology.
One of these is the leading university TU Berlin, which places particular emphasis on photovoltaics, wind energy, networks and storage systems. Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin, IHP GmbH – Innovations for High Performance Microelectronics (a member of the Leibniz Association) and Fraunhofer Institute for Production Systems and Design Technology (IPK) are among the capital’s major non-university research institutions.
